Who is MATEJA?

I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember—some of my favorite memories are of going to fashion shows in San Francisco with my dad. I was fascinated by textiles, color theory, body proportions, and how the right outfit could bring out someone’s confidence. I once dreamed of becoming a designer, but it was my first retail job that revealed what I really loved: styling real people.

Helping women feel good in their own skin lit something in me. As a mom, I understand the ups and downs of body changes and how deeply what we wear can affect how we show up. Styling became both a creative outlet and a way to feel grounded, present, and powerful in everyday life.

Today, my focus is editorial styling—bringing a timeless, edgy point of view to music videos, brand shoots, and creative campaigns. Clients often describe me as intuitive, collaborative, and easy to work with.

I’m not driven by trends. I care about clarity, storytelling, and helping people feel fully themselves in what they wear. While I still take on a few personal styling clients by referral, most of my work happens behind the scenes—on set, in lookbooks, and in those moments where style meets story.
